About
One engineer. Scoped work. No hand-offs to juniors.
I am Scott Corcoran. I design and build Azure infrastructure for teams that need it done right the first time -- and want the team that runs it afterward to actually understand it.
Background
Years inside the platform, not just on top of it.
I have spent my career building cloud and network infrastructure -- the layer that everything else runs on. Most of my recent work has been on Azure: landing zones, hybrid networking, migrations, and the IaC pipelines that hold them together.
I prefer engagements where I can talk to the people who will own the environment after I leave. The best result is one where the next change to the system is made confidently by someone on your team, not by a vendor with a support ticket.
How I work
Fixed scope, plain English, code in your repo.
- Scoped engagements. A defined outcome with a defined end. Open-ended retainers are not the default offer.
- Code in your repo. Bicep or Terraform, in your version control, with documentation. Not a deck of screenshots.
- Knowledge transfer is part of the deliverable. Sessions with your team, written runbooks, and time for questions after handover.
- No sub-contracting. The person you hire is the person who does the work. If a piece is outside my lane, I will say so.
Credentials
Certifications and references.
Up-to-date Microsoft certifications in the areas I work in. Client references available on request once an engagement is scoped.
